About GAMES for the SOUL

The CENTENARY GAMES project

C-GAMES for the SOUL celebrates the emotional power of play, family and shared memories. Hosted in Varna, Bulgaria, the event brings together children, parents and grandparents to rediscover traditional games that were once played in streets, yards and school spaces by previous generations. In this edition, the family becomes the team. Participants are invited to take part in a series of outdoor challenges inspired by childhood games from Bulgaria, Italy and Türkiye, combining movement, cooperation, laughter and intergenerational learning.

The SOUL edition is not only a sport event, but also a journey back to family memory and cultural heritage. Through games, quizzes, stories and accompanying activities, participants will experience how traditional play can strengthen family bonds, support mental well-being and create meaningful time together. The event also highlights the importance of simple, sustainable and accessible forms of physical activity that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age or previous sport experience.

By connecting sport, tradition and emotions, C-GAMES for the SOUL reminds us that play is more than entertainment. It is a way to communicate, to remember, to belong and to pass values from one generation to the next. … see more
